Full Moon Walk

Moon rise time: 17.47 (Last walk in Feb, Moon rise was at 17.35)
Event: March Moon is a Super Full Moon (When the moon is at its closest approach to earth). The March moon is also known as the Worm Moon. It is the last Full Moon of the winter season and because the earthworms come out at the end of winter.
Our Full Moon Walk is an excellent opportunity to get out in the evening time with a group of like minded people. You get to see the beautiful landscape by the light of the moon. These walks help lift the spirits and keep the form high. Come have the chats and the laughs with us….
The walk is approx 2.5 hr and suitable for most levels of fitness (A certain level of fitness is required..) It is just under 10km in length with mostly good underfoot path conditions. 390m in climb.
There will be uphills but at a leisurely pace. Don’t forget – for every uphill there is a downhill!
This is a great opportunity, if you have never walked in the dark to do some night walking. Don’t miss out on this unique experience.
What to bring
- Head Torch / Torch
- Walking boots / Walking shoes or Good trainers
- Extra layer (We will be on open top at some stage and exposed to the cold elements. Hats, Gloves, extra Layer)
